OMG THE EOP EBOOK IS FINALLY HERE!

EOP-cover-with-matrix-code1

It’s been three years since my book Elements of Poker came out. Since then, I have received many emails that go something like this:

Dear Tommy,

If you don’t make Elements of Poker available as an eBook soon, I am going to nail my head to the floor.

Your fan,

Pat Hand

Welp, it’s done. The EOP eBook now exists. And here are just some of the things people are saying about it:

This saves me the embarrassment of requesting a large-print edition. — Lee Jones

Finally I have a legitimate reason to buy an iPad. — Phil Galfond

I like the print version better. — Johannes Gutenberg

Next up: audiobook. Read by the author. Or I’ll nail my head to the floor.

    Hi Tommy,

Will there be any discount for those who have purchased your ‘B&M’ book?

    Thanks!

  • Taylor Posted November 30, 2010 11:30 am

Nevermind! Didn’t notice the awesomely low price. No need for a discount 🙂

EOP is cool. But how about your next book? Still working on it? Or is it ready to get published? Be assured that i will buy it no matter if it’s an ebook or not.

“But how about your next book? Still working on it?”

    Hi Amigo,

I have two new books in the oven right now. One is like a greatest hits book. It’s a collection of my poker articles and blog posts. It will have new material in it too, little stories about the stories, and also some behind-the-scenes stuff about my writing process. I’m putting it together with my editor, Anna Paradox, who is writing the intro. The title of the book is “A Rubber Band Story and other Poker Tales.” It should be out around April or May of 2011.

The other book I’m working on is called “Painless Poker.” It’s all new material, and I estimate it will be finished in two years.

Dohhhh , I just bought a tree copy last week !

  • Igor Posted December 7, 2010 8:48 am

Today I was trying to purchase your e-book from Kobo and when I was going to proceed the payment I got a technical issue from their site and no message that it went through.

So I assumed it didn’t went through and later I was trying to order it from atlasbook and it went through but the download link doesn’t work. Then a few minutes later I get an email from Kobo that my order has been succesful. So now I have paid for two e-books of Elements of Poker and one link doesn’t work. What amazing sites, really!

If I get the ebook, can I get it personally inscribed?

  • Tommy Angelo Posted December 9, 2010 8:09 pm

“If I get the ebook, can I get it personally inscribed?”

    Sure thing, Brian. How this?

OK, where’s that buy link again?

  • nick Posted December 11, 2010 1:32 am

When will the audio book be out?

  • Tommy Angelo Posted December 11, 2010 8:25 am

“When will the audio book be out?”

That’s on the “maybe hopefully someday but not in the foreseeable future” list.

  • Benjamin Posted December 11, 2010 2:04 pm

I have bought ur book through atlasbooks.com as an ebook. The problem is everytime i try to download (i have paid), i get this message : The requested eBook title is currently not available for download at this time. This most often occurs when the title has not been released by the publisher for general distribution. Please try again later.

    frkn bullshit !

  • Tommy Angelo Posted December 11, 2010 4:23 pm

    “frkn bullshit !”

Hang in there Benjamin! This problem has happened a couple times before at Atlas, and both times, the download did go through within a couple days. If you still don’t have the book by Tuesday, please let me know and we’ll work something out. Also, check and see if they actually charged you yet. Based on what happened before, I’m guessing (hoping) they won’t charge you until you actually get the book.

    Thanks,

    Tommy

  • Benjamin Posted December 12, 2010 12:29 am

Hi tommy. Thanks for the answer , i am ofcourse not mad at you, just at atlasbooks, who have ignored me 🙁

Alright, i will wait until tuesday, and then i will let you know. I cant wait to read the book.
It looks like that they have charged/reserved the money. But i will give it a couple of days and then i will let you know. Thanks a lot for the quick respons. I am from europe and not often “buyin things through american sites”, so thats why i have my concerns , if you know what i mean. But thanks again, and hopefully i will be able to download it, and enjoy it as many others:)

I don’t think it’s funny to talk about heads being nailed to floors, or anywhere else. Especially not at this time of year. Also, I don’t like jokes about Moveable Type.

  • Tommy Angelo Posted December 21, 2010 8:45 pm

    Dear Mr. Hand,

“Also, I don’t like jokes about Moveable Type.”

Then I’m sure you don’t want to hear the one about Moveable Feast.
