I first heard the phrase “latent potential” in a book by Richard Dawkins. He was writing about evolutionary adaptations.
Kathleen received this gift the other day:
According to the people who made it, and the people who gave it, and the person who received it, this is allegedly a mortar and pestle. A very cool one.
I took one look at it and I saw right away what any bocce player would see. That ain’t no grinding device. It’s a pauline holder. A very cool one.

You are amazing. I just bust with pride when I see your stuff. Proud that you are an Angelo.
Don’t refer to Kathleen as you paline holder.
LOL to you both,
N.
I see guitar picks in this holder. Have been playing that a bit more than bocce these days!
Ok T, now you’ve done it. I must have my very own pauline holder. Then I will know I have arrived.
That was priceless. Would Kathleen let you borrow it for Conneaut?
I’m speechless!!!!!! You and Paul are battling for the coolest cousin that I have ever had. Your brother got me hooked on Ry Cooder. Just finished listening to the third Ry CD that Paul has sent me.
